What is it with top hedge fund managers and beautiful properties in Belsize Park?
I hear from knowledgeable sources this lovely mansion - http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-21869253.html - is being sold by one of London's most successful hedgies of the noughties credit boom.
According to the Rightmove.co.uk advert the seller is looking for a cool £13.5m. Wow!
It's a shame he didn't put on the market earlier as this Belsize Park pile is right round the corner from where another one of the City's top hedge fund managers is rumoured to have snapped a new home.
Betaville readers should recall that a secretive hedgie is said to have recently bought this large house and has begun major renovation works:
Chris Hohn, the founder of The Children's Investment fund, later denied to Betaville he was behind the purchase of this home.
Indeed, Mr Hohn, who has donated millions to charity via his TCI hedge fund, told me an abrupt manner a few weeks ago: "I own no properties in the UK".
